Calendar

This program takes participants to the next level of blacksmithing.  Students will learn history, safety, tools, and forging while making a special project-the Iron Rose.  All registrants for this class must be 18+ years old.  In addition, ALL REGISTRANTS for this class must have previously completed the Blacksmithing 101 - 2 Day program at Naper Settlement. Pre-registration required.

Please note: Guests should wear a comfortable shirt, long pants, and closed-toe, leather shoes. The material of the clothes is a safety requirement.  Artificial or man-made fabrics will burn or melt if a spark hits them.  Clothes should be made of 100% cotton or wool.  Style is not important, but the guest should understand that the blacksmith shop is a dirty place, and damage to the clothes is a possibility.
