"
When I think of leaders in Naperville, I think of Saily Joshi. Saily is the embodiment of an active citizen, daily working to advocate for the children and parents in our community.
Saily's leadership skills come from a family tradition of advocacy. Her grandfather was N.G. Goray, a freedom fighter for democracy in India. That same yearning for equity drives Saily in her work with 204's Parent Diversity Advisory Council. As Chair of PDAC, Saily has focused the group's work on advocating for equity for all children in Naperville's District 204. Saily works so hard to empower parents to be the best advocate they can be for their children, and she makes sure that all parents' voices are heard. This commitment to our community can be seen across the organizations that benefit from her leadership -- whether helping lead Naperville Neighbor's United diversity discussions, or fighting against food insecurity with the Obama Legacy Initiative, or advocating for mental health care through Sanjeevani or volunteering in her children's schools, Saily leads in Naperville through an unwavering commitment to equity and community."
