"Hi, my name is Sophia Luo. I was born and raised in China. 12 years ago, I immigrated to the United States and visited Naperville for the first time, I fell in love with the city instantly. I was so impressed by the kindness and the class the community can offer. After graduation from DePaul University, I traveled between US and China for work for a number of years, during that time, Naperville had always remained a very special place close to my heart. So, in 2016, I decided to move back to Naperville and started working here ever since.
I'm the Director of Community Engagement for Xilin Association, it's the second largest Asian community center in IL, which was founded in Naperville 31 years ago and still is based in Naperville till this day. At the same time, I serve at Naperville Sister Cities Commission, Naperville Jaycees, Naperville Rotary Club and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusiveness Committee of Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce.
It would be my honor to be nominated this time and I'm committed to contribute more in our fantastic Naperville!"
