HERstory-Cindy-Cree

"Cindy has had a home daycare on the edge of downtown Naperville for over 30 years. She has influenced the lives of hundreds of
children, and helped mold future members of our society.

Her warmth and quality care have caused her reputation to spread, and many former children still stop by to say hi - some even bringing their own children.  She provides comfort and guidance to not only the children she watches, but also to the first time parents who call her even on her time off. She treats each child and their parents as family, celebrating their achievements and comforting them during troubled times.

She is an inspiration in her compassion and dedication to those in her care.  She has opened her home to so many children, and has adapted her home to their needs. Her dedication is visible from the moment you enter her house - every element is adapted to not her comfort, but to that of the children she cares for.  The house is a safe-haven of fun and comfort for all who enter, and the repeat, long-term families are evidence of this.

She had been a cornerstone of the children of Naperville for many years, and deserves recognition for her part in the development of our community."
