is a 5th generation
; graduate of Naperville North High School; the University of Salamanca
(Spanish minor summer study program) and
(Bloomington, IN.) While at I.U. she was the photo editor of the Indiana Daily Student (IDS) campus newspaper (34,000 students enrolled).
she moved to New York City where her first job was with
magazine. She also worked for the iconic
Prize winning photographer Eddie Adams; spent 2 years in Washington, D.C. photo editing for
; and has been the photo research editor for the
"O" magazine for the last 7 and half years. It was her

suggestion to the
mag staff to put Breonna Taylor on the cover of the September issue (BLACK LIVES MATTER). Deirdre is a tru
e trailblazer. She and her 10
son live in Brooklyn, NY."
