Splash-Pad

Beginning on Monday, October 3, the lower level of the Pre-Emption House Visitor, including the Building Naperville exhibit, will not have ADA access due to an elevator modernization project. The elevator upgrade is expected to be completed at the end of November. During this time, the elevator will be unavailable. Thank you for your patience as we complete this important upgrade. 

Please Note: On November 23-25, Naper Settlement will be closed to the public. The museum will reopen on Tuesday, November 29. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!

Things to See & Do at Naper Settlement

From November to April, all Naper Settlement building interiors are closed to the public with the exception of the Pre-Emption House Visitors Center. Visitors are invited to explore Naper Settlement's exhibit, Building Naperville: Tallgrass Prairie to Today in the visitor center's lower level. Visit our exhibits page to learn about the rotating exhibits in our Naper and Heritage Galleries in the visitor center.  The exteriors of our historic buildings are also available to view with a variety of interactive tours that can be accessed through the museum's On-Cell Mobile app.  For questions, please call 630-420-6010 or email towncrier@naperville.il.us. Museums for All

Museums for All's national initiative is to increase the accessibility of museum learning resources to low-income families. Visitors can receive general admission for $1 per person with the presentation of an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) Link or WIC card with photo identification. ‎ Visit the Pre-Emption House Visitor Center lobby to receive your discounted ticket for entry.
