Admission & Hours

Christmas mansionWelcome back to Naper Settlement! Our team has been hard at work creating new tours, programs, and procedures that incorporate social distancing and safety requirements set by federal, local, and state government agencies. We can’t wait to share Naperville’s history with you in a new way!

From November through March, Naper Settlement's 13-acre outdoor campus is open for self-guided walking tours.  Explore the exteriors of our historic buildings while enjoying a variety of interactive tours that can be accessed through the museum's On-Cell mobile app.  All building interiors, including the Pre-Emption House Visitor Center will be closed to the public until further notice.

ENTRY - Please enter through the Century Memorial Chapel gate, located in the parking lot to the west of the Pre-Emption House at the intersection of Aurora Avenue and S. Webster Street.  Last entry to the Naper Settlement grounds is at 3:15 p.m.  The grounds will close and gates be locked at 4 p.m.

Please Note:  All visitors must  stay 6-feet from other visitor groups and wear a face mask over their nose and mouth in all buildings, when social distancing of six feet cannot be maintained outdoors, and when instructed by Naper Settlement staff.  For a full list of our safety guidelines, click here.
