Cinema at the Settlement

Enjoy a movie under the stars at Naper Settlement!

Designed with social distancing in mind, visitors will be assigned one of three special viewing areas spread across Naper Settlement’s 13-acre campus. All viewing areas will be playing the same film and include a refreshment stand. A maximum of 50 visitors will be permitted at each viewing area, and all viewing areas will be assigned upon arrival.

Tickets are $1 per person. Registration is required and offered on a first come, first served basis.

About Cinema at the Settlement 

Naperville Heritage Society Special Events have additional policies to the Naper Settlement's museum policy.

Safety Requirements

All visitors are required to follow Naper Settlement's  safety requirements.  Learn more about Naper Settlement's safety requirements.

Event Policies 

  • Purchase tickets ahead of time for quick entry.
  • Photographs may be taken and used in promotional materials by Naper Settlement.
  • No outside food or drinks. One factory sealed bottle of unflavored water or one empty beverage container (no glass) per person is permitted.
  • No pets are allowed.
  • Smoking and vaping are permitted in designated areas only.

Entrance

Entry to Cinema at the Settlement is available through two locations: the Pre-Emption House Visitor Center and the gate along Webster Street (pre-printed tickets only).

About Viewing Areas

A maximum of 50 people will be at each screen. Viewing areas will be assigned upon arrival. The entire visitor group must be present at check-in. We cannot save spaces for  group members that arrive late.

Parking

Free parking is available in the Municipal Parking Garage on the corner of Eagle and Aurora and in the Naper Settlement visitor's lot on Porter Avenue and Webster Street.

Inclement Weather

All Naperville Heritage Society events take place rain or shine. However, in the case of unsafe weather - lightning, tornado, etc. - Naper Settlement will close the grounds and cancel the event for the safety of its patrons.

Refund Policy

No refunds will be given in the event of inclement weather. In the case of a cancellation, tickets will be honored for a second showing of the same movie the following Friday, weather permitting (August 21, September 4, September 25).
