Location
Naper Settlement is located at 523 S. Webster Street in downtown Naperville, IL. Just 28 miles west of Chicago, it is close to major expressways including I-88 (Reagan Memorial Tollway), I-355 (Veterans Memorial Tollway), and I-55 (Stevenson Expressway).
The museum is situated two blocks south of Jefferson Avenue and two blocks west of Washington Street at the southwest corner of Aurora Avenue and Webster Street, across from the City of Naperville Municipal Center building and the scenic Riverwalk. Follow Naperville's way finding signs downtown and watch for brown and white parking signs at the entrance to the Visitor Center. The free parking lot is located at the southwest corner of Webster Street and Porter Avenue, just one block south of Aurora Avenue. Additional free parking is available on weekend or for evening activities at the Municipal Center building.

Directions from I-88, Ronald Reagan Memorial Tollway
From the East: Exit I-88 at Naperville Road, which is the first Naperville exit. At the end of the ramp, turn left on Freedom Drive and proceed to Diehl Road, turn right and go west to Washington Street. Turn left on Washington Street and proceed south into downtown Naperville. At the stoplight at the intersection of Washington Street and Aurora Avenue, turn right and go west two blocks to Webster Street. Turn left on Webster one block for the main parking lot. Turn right on Webster for the overflow parking at the Municipal Center building.
From the West: Exit I-88 at Naperville Road, the last Naperville exit. At the end of the ramp, turn right on Freedom Drive and proceed to Diehl Road, turn right and go west to Washington Street. Turn left on Washington Street and proceed south into downtown Naperville. At the stoplight at the intersection of Washington Street and Aurora Avenue, turn right and go west two blocks to Webster Street. Turn left on Webster one block for the main parking lot. Turn right on Webster for the overflow parking at the Municipal Center building.

Turn right on Naper Boulevard and proceed south to Maple/Chicago Avenue. Turn right and go west to Washington Street. Turn left on Washington Street and proceed south one block. At the stoplight at the intersection of Washington Street and Aurora Avenue, turn right and go west two blocks to Webster Street. Turn left on Webster Street. The bus drop-off lane is immediately on the right.
From the west: Exit I-88 at Naperville Road. At the end of the ramp, turn right on Freedom Drive and proceed to Diehl Road, turn left and go east to Naper Boulevard. Turn right and go west to Washington Street. Turn left on Washington Street and proceed south one block. At the stoplight at the intersection of Washington Street and Aurora Avenue, turn right and go west two blocks to Webster Street. Turn left on Webster Street. The bus drop-off lane is immediately on the right. Once unloaded, buses proceed south on Webster Street one block and turn right to park on Porter Avenue. Passengers will reboard their buses while they are parked on Porter.
Parking Locations
The Naper Settlement Pre-Emption House Visitor Center is on the corner of Aurora Avenue and Webster Street. To park, turn left on Webster Street and go one block south to the free parking lot located at the southwest corner of Webster Street and Porter Avenue, adjacent to Naperville Central High School. There is Handicapped Accessible Parking in this free lot, as well as in the Century Memorial Chapel free Parking Lot (the first driveway west of the Pre-Emption House Visitor Center on Aurora Avenue) and the City of Naperville free Municipal Parking Lot located across the street, north of the Pre-Emption House Visitor Center (see below for details). Free parking is also available after 5 p.m. on weekdays and all weekend long at the City of Naperville Municipal Center, across the street from Naper Settlement (accessible by either Webster Street, where there is a pedestrian crosswalk and graded curbs or Eagle Street, where there is a stoplight and graded curbs).

Chapel Parking (Wedding, special and short-term parking)
For Wedding Guests, Museum Store Visitors, Scheduled Meetings, Handicapped Accessible Parking & Deliveries
The Century Memorial Chapel free parking lot is located on Aurora Avenue, about a half-block west of the Pre-Emption House. This parking lot is designated for use by wedding guests, Museum Store visitors, individuals requiring handicapped accessible parking, and quick drop-offs to the Lobby. Overflow parking for wedding guests and all others is available in the Porter Avenue and Webster Street free parking or in the free Municipal Parking Lot across the street from the Chapel on Aurora Avenue, between Eagle and Webster streets, weekdays after 5 p.m. and all weekend. Handicapped accessible parking is also available at these two adjacent locations. Limited street parking is available on Webster Street, with designated time parameters posted.

From time to time, the City of Naperville or Naper Settlement may have a construction project that could affect the directions and parking information provided above. Please be sure to follow all posted detour signs, as applicable, in case of construction.
