VICTORIAN SECRETS
Tour the Mansion and then find out what's under those hoop skirts! Take a special behind-the-scenes tour of the beautifully restored Victorian Martin Mitchell Mansion, on the grounds of Naper Settlement in downtown Naperville. Discover how the DuPage County family who lived in this opulent home, helped rebuild Chicago after the Great Fire of 1871. Then take a peek inside a traveling trunk as beauty and clothing secrets are revealed in our "Victorian Lady" presentation.Relax and enjoy the show, while sipping lemonade and nibbling sweets in the cozy Pre-Emption House. This program is in celebration of the Naperville Heritage Society's 40th anniversary. Limit 30.

VICTORIAN HOLIDAY TRADITIONS
Tour an 1883 Mansion in holiday decor and then enjoy a program with refreshments in our Tavern. You'll treasure this special one-hour tour of Naper Settlement's Martin Mitchell Mansion, decked out in traditional Victorian Christmas splendor. Then sip tea and enjoy sweet treats while discovering the history of holiday traditions, such as the Christmas tree ships and ornaments, as presented by our Victorian costumed interpreter. Finish off the afternoon browsing our Museum Store for specialty gifts, then plan to visit downtown Naperville for lunch or more shopping opportunities on your own. Limit 30.

AN INTIMATE CONVERSATION WITH THE AUTHOR
Rochelle Pennington
Author Rochelle Pennington will talk about her book featuring Chicago's famous Christmas tree ship. Her multimedia presentation will detail one of the most well-known shipwrecks of the Great Lakes with little-known facts about the ship's mysterious disappearance, clues washed ashore, ghost ship sightings of the phantom schooner and mysterious omens. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signed by the author. 7-8 p.m.
$12/person, $10/Naperville Heritage Society members.

Program Cancellation Policy - Naper Settlement will not refund deposits if a program is canceled by the participant. If the program is canceled by Naper Settlement, full refunds will be given. Naper Settlement will not issue program fee refunds if the participant cancels less than 2 weeks before the starting date of the program.
