Naperville - Enjoy a free ice cream sundae during Settlement Sundays from 2 to 3 p.m. June 22 and 29, July 6, 20 and 27 and Aug. 3, 10 and 17 at Naper Settlement, 523 S. Webster St. During Settlement Sunday, admission to the historic museum village not only includes free sundaes with do-it-yourself toppings, but also a variety of hands-on, family-friendly activities during the Settlement?s open hours of 1 to 4 p.m. Play old-fashioned games, participate in sack races, tour the Victorian mansion, explore the homes and businesses, and try the new Geocache hunts.
"Settlement Sundays will take our visitors back to those lazy, hazy days of summer that we all enjoyed when we were kids, which usually included eating ice cream!" said Education Manager Nancy Smith.
Admission is $8 adults, $7 seniors 62+ and $5.50 youth 4-17. Children 3 and under are free.Naperville Heritage Society is a not-for-profit organization.
