Following his presentation, ideas for future use of the Naper property will be shared. The public is invited to share their input for the proposed plans.
No RSVP is required. The evening is being hosted by Naper Settlement/Naperville Heritage Society and held in conjunction with the City of Naperville.
An archeological dig was conducted during the summers of 2006 and 2007 at the original Joseph Naper home site, located at 338 W. Jefferson Ave., at the southeast corner of Jefferson Avenue and Mill Street, which is owned by the City of Naperville. Archaeologists, along with Naper Settlement's Preservation Services staff and community volunteers, made many significant finds including a stone foundation believed to be the base of Naper's log cabin.
