There are nearly 14,000 photographs and images of people and places related to Naperville in the Naperville Heritage Society's museum collections. Some of the images include daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, tintypes, cabinet cards, carte-de-visites and snapshots.
Fees are charged for the use of historic photographic images, archival collections and original artwork to help defray costs incurred for ongoing preservation care and staff time associated with the access, retrieval and request processing of the photos. The user fees do not include reproduction costs - these costs are the responsibility of the user. As a service to users and upon patron request, Naper Settlement will provide a list of area professional photo labs or printers capable of reproducing images. Naper Settlement, however, will not assume responsibility for the quality of reproduced work or any increase in quoted prices for reproduction work to be completed by the borrower's selected photo lab or printer.
