Collections & Research
The Naper Settlement
contains several hundred volumes pertaining to the history of Naperville, DuPage County and the State of Illinois, as well as select topics of national interest.
Secondary Source Material
Secondary source material about local history and reference books are available on a variety of topics, including fashion, furniture, antiques and architecture. In addition, the library contains more than 3,000 files divided into general information or vertical files, family files, address files and oral history files.
Primary Source Material
Primary source material is preserved and maintained in climate-controlled archives and vault space and can be made available to the researcher by appointment.
The Research Library is open to the public every Thursday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm without an appointment. Appointments to use the library and its collections outside of these hours may be made by contacting the Library at 630.420.6014.
