Camp Naper Summer Day Camp
Explore Naper Settlement’s 13 acres and beyond in summer day camps that are sure to capture a child’s imagination. Our unique, hands-on camps provide immersive experiences where learning is fun! All camps include supplies and a **snack, and are led by experienced, adult counselors.

Jump into summer fun with one or more days of our Sampler weeks. Choose up to four days or
receive a discount when you attend all five days of the week-long samplers.

June 3-7 
$45/day; $210/week, 8 AM–3 PM, Grades 1–6

Pick and choose one or more day camps to create your perfect camp experience! Each day offers a different theme, with fun and unique activities. Campers can recreate scientific superhero powers, visit a blacksmith, build a box city and more!

June 3 – Super Hero Science: Explore the history of comic book heroes and the science behind the coolest super powers.
June 4 – Fantasy Fun: Investigate the legends and history behind fascinating creatures like unicorns, mermaids, Bigfoot and the Loch Ness monster. 
June 5  Prairie Pioneers: Experience what life was like on the Illinois prairie in the 1800s! 
**June 6 – Snack Science: Complete experiments and create edible reactions using a combination of scientific principles and tasty snacks.
June 7 - Building Bonanza: Discover unique and famous buildings from around the world and create your own incredible structures using LEGO bricks and boxes.

June 10–14
$45/day; $210/week, 8 AM–3 PM, Grades 1–6

Mix and match one or more day camps to create a thrilling camp adventure! Each day of this camp offers a different theme, with over-the-top fun and activities. Campers can unlock their creativity, conduct explosive experiments, and use artifacts to unlock scavenger hunt clues.

June 10 – Excavation Exploration: Hunt for underground clues in an archaeological investigation with a scavenger hunt-style twist.
June 11 – Enterprising Engineering: Teams of campers will use their creativity and problem solving skills to create a homemade marble run.
June 12 – Wild Weather: Become a meteorologist and investigate the science behind extreme weather, including tornadoes, earthquakes, and blizzards. Conduct experiments and deliver your own wild weather report.
June 13 – H2Olympics: Prepare to get wet as teams of campers participate in the ultimate water balloon challenge! Use catapults, slingshots, and much more to soak the competition. Walk to the Riverwalk for a paddleboat outing.
June 14 – Extreme Explosions: Conduct scientific experiments to create colorful popping, fizzing, and bubbling explosions.

 Civil War Camp

Throwback Camp
June 17–21
8 AM–3 PM, Grades 1-6 Step back to the 20th century and explore a decade each day from the 1950s to 2000!  Tie-dye a t-shirt, make a slap bracelet, play records and watch clips from popular TV shows. Test out a rotary phone and electric typewriter and learn about 20th century inventions. 
Extreme Animals
June 17-21
8 AM–3 PM, Grades 1–6 Discover the biggest, fastest, smartest and most amazing animals!  Learn about poisonous animals, extreme-looking creatures, animals with attitudes, and animal Olympians. Test your senses, design a habitat, play animal games then relax with a worm snack! Meet reptiles, raptors and a veterinarian, create animal art and learn how you can help with animal conservation.
Nature Nurturer            
June 24-28
8 AM–3 PM, Grades 1-6
Explore habitats and ecosystems on Naper Settlement's ground and gardens, then get your names dirty by making your own terrarium. Conduct scientific tests, discover ways to be environment-friendly.  meet a bee-keeper with bees and understand how butterflies are important pollinators.
Civil War Camp
July 1-2
8 AM–3 PM, Grades 5-8
Recruits wanted! Put yourself in the shoes of a Civil War solider as you practice military drills, cook over an open fire, and learn spy tactics. Witness the boom of a real musket firing and take part in a special closing ceremony. Take the fun home with your own Civil War kepi hat, small haversack, and photograph of yourself in uniform.

**Curious Cook
July 1-2
8 AM–3 PM, Grades 3–6
Science and creativity come together as junior chefs conduct delicious edible experiments and surprisingly tasty chemical reactions. Harness the power of the sun to make s’mores, turn milk into plastic, and pop your corn right on the cob.

Art Adventure
July 8-12
8 AM–3 PM, Grades 1–6
This colorful camp is the perfect mix of fun and creativity! Get messy with paint and clay, let nature inspire you, discover a new favorite artist, and make your own comic book. Try out unexpected ways to create a masterpiece and let your imagination run wild.
Awesome Architecture
July 8-12
8 AM-3 PM, Grades 4-6
Did you know architecture comes in all shapes and sizes? Travel through time and discover palaces, treehouses, skyscrapers, and other amazing structures! Use LEGOS and models to recreate famous buildings, explore unique structures in downtown Naperville, and discover how buildings were moved to Naper Settlement. Working as a team, campers will design their own city of boxes, inspired by amazing architecture from around the world.

Moon Madness
July 15-19
8 AM–3 PM, Grades 1-6
Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Moon Walk this week with all things SPACE! Learn about the Space Race and the Apollo journeys, hear stories about famous scientists and astronauts. Build a moon rover, conduct experiments and launch a rocket. Watch clips from popular science fiction TV shows and discover the latest space exploration efforts.

Survive This!
July 15–19
8 AM–3 PM, Grades 1–6
Be prepared for anything! Campers test their brains and brawn in various survival situations, using teamwork and ingenuity. Learn how to survive an encounter with a zombie, create a basic first aid kit, and puzzle through disaster scenarios.  
**Sampler Scrambler
July 22–26
8 AM–3 PM, Grades 1–6
Our most popular Sampler Camp days are back with this non-stop fun Sampler Scrambler! Campers will conduct experiments, create tasty treats, and learn to work as a team. Each day of this five day camp will feature one day of Extreme Explosions, H2Olympics, Snack Science, Fantasy Fun, and Wild Weather.
**Passport to the World
July 22–26
8 AM–3 PM, Grades 4–6
Take an imaginary trip to Germany, Scotland, India and China--places connected with the Naperville's history! Make your own passport, read a map, learn some phrases of each country's language. Create a travel journal and record stories you learn from guests from these cultures.See traditional dances and artifacts and taste some German, Scottish, Indian and Chinese food.
Camp Scrambler
July 29–Aug. 2
8 AM-3 PM, Grades 1-6
Can’t choose just one of our fabulous camps? Try this mash-up of our most popular activities! Campers will meet reptiles, learn survival skills, build a Box City, paint and sculpt. Each day of this five-day camp will feature one day of Throwback Camp, Awesome Architecture, Extreme Animals, Survive This!, and Art Adventure.

Kinetic Art Expedition Espionage
July 29-Aug. 2
$210/camper, 8 AM–3 PM, Grades 1–6
Become a secret agent! Decode ciphers, create a disguise, and write messages in invisible ink. Learn about real life spies and codes, including the Navajo Code Talkers and Mata Hari. Complete a spy mission by working as a team and following secret clues.
